Braincell is Ralph Knobloch. Ralph grew up in a small town in Germany. He learned to play instruments like guitar, trumpet, percussion etc., and started playing in a rock band. In 1994 he had first experience with trance music at a small party in Swiss. After that he started DJ-ing for 3-4 years, which was followed by a need of producing his own music. He created RASTALIENS together with his friend Jurgen and they released 3 albums and many singles on labels such as Boom, Hadshot, Balloonia, Timecode, Glowing Flame and others. After moving to Switzerland in 2003 he starts his own project BRAINCELL which is a different style to the RASTALIENS. This sound is mystical and atmospheric, with groovy bass lines, creepy noises and freaky melodies. Braincell released two albums for Glowing Flame records: Universal Language in 2005 and Transformation of Reality in 2007.
